Wentworth Playpark

Wentworth Play Area was closed on 24th March 2020 following a Government announcement in response to the COVID_19 outbreak in the United Kingdom.

The play area still remains closed to ALL, and no access is permitted

Signage has been erected to make everyone aware of the closure, but sadly the message is being ignored.

Please follow this advice and make everyone aware of this. The measures are to protect us all.

The Parish Council will also be carrying out essential maintenance to the Play Area, and will advise the community when works are completed, and the Government have advised that it is safe to use Play Areas again.

Thank you in advance.

In 2010, the village was fortunate to recieve funding for a new playpark from both the East Cambs. District Council Pathfinder Scheme, and the National Lottery. We are also endebted to a local landowner, who has kindly agreed to lease the land on which the playpark is situated.

A number of local residents have been instrumental in getting the playpark up-and-running, and in the ongoing maintenance. Through a combination of determination, creative design, and sheer hard graft from all involved, the village now has an amenity of which we can be justifiably proud.

The Wentworth Parish Council has been made aware of an issue with dog fouling in the Playpark.

Dog walkers are kindly reminded that dogs are not allowed in the Playpark, and we would like to make all Playpark users aware of the following Public Spaces Protection Order from East Cambs District Council:
